Three Monkeys Eyewear

Just discovered this rad Italian sunglass store that just opened in Soho called Three Monkeys. As you may know, I'm still a California girl at heart that still loves all the surf brands...even though they may be more focused on the tween market here on the East Coast. But, when I found this sunglass store that actually carried brands like Von Zipper and Electric...my heart skipped a beat. Especially for the men out there, Ahmed in particular, I hate getting him bougie brands that look feminine that cost like $400 with a huge billboard of a logo plastered on the side. Totes not my steez...

Anyways, this new spot is the first to hit the states, they have a few locations already in South America. The sunglasses are reasonably priced between $50 to $150 from what I saw...and their schtick is the custest monkey...they're kid-robot-like monkeys lining the walls that wear the sunglasses! See the pics below...and you get your own monkey to take home...Genius! My monkey went straight up on my bookshelf at home for display.

These are the sunnies I got by Sabre, a brand that originally started as a blog in Australia but moved to my hometown of Newport Beach to start their biz.

These were the other sunnies I was dating, but my closet has too many studding details lately.

Some of the cute monkeys...loves!

Me! Feeling kinda lame taking a pic of myself indoors for all y'all...but I do it for you!

Topshop Ring Madness

Lunchtime retail therapy...I wanted to find an outfit or top for a few outtings this weekend, but ended up with rings from Topshop. Love that they all can be worn together but also bold enough to be worn separately. Yay me...xo, B

Let Me See That Tootsie Roll...

Random shenanigans...as I was watching Rachel Zoe last night, I was interrupted by this commercial for undies that offer a more voluptuous derriere! I had to rewind this a few times because I was laughing so hard. Hilarious...and they don't come cheap! lol...xo, B

Window Shopping

After a long Friday at work, I went out for happy hour and dinner with Ris, to find myself walking home alone and stopping in shock at the sight of sick boots at Ann Taylor LOFT...wtf? I know I know...these are pretty bad ass and LOFT is so, how shall I put this...old ladyish? lol Good thing it was 10pm and the store was closed...because wine and shopping equals no self control with me. But, I will be visiting these lil guys soon. xo, B

Uniqlo Therapy

I went through my daily run through at Uniqlo today...and they refreshed the store with some great Fall finds. Lots of yummy cashmere knits and jackets with a plethora of jeggings in different fabrics, colors and prints. I didn't get any of those, however I ended up walking out with a crinkle chiffon ruffle-tiered-leopard-print-long-sleeve-top, and a long sleeve striped tee with ruching at the wrists and waist. Loving my purchases...xo, B

Sorry for the bad pics...but there are two tiers of horizontal ruffles down the front chest.

Gilt-y Pleasures

Totally doing some much needed retail therapy...and of course I hit up Gilt for some solid purchases. I bought the Splendid striped tee, which is actually like coming full circle. For my fully committed readers, you will remember that this tee was on my very first post for Fall 2009 must haves...and, yes, I'm a year late. Well ever since then, my striped fixation has only gotten stronger, and I'm so happy I got my hands on this tee at a fraction of the price! To top it off, I also got some great flats for Fall by Candela...with punk rock spikes to harden up any preppy outfit...Preppy punk rock, remember! xo, B

CVS Faulex

Mel and I got these awesome faulex watches at CVS for only $15...love the band and the price...who knew CVS was where it's at! xo, B

Saturday F21 Finds

Finally chillaxing and getting some time to internet shop on this muggy Saturday. Forever 21 as we all know is my faves for trendy cheap rings...and they didn't disappoint today. I bought all these rings which all cost under $5 each...I'm obviously having a connector ring moment here. My fave being the crystal one up top, and of course I had to add a yummy stripe tee to the mix. It wouldn't be a success without some stripes...xo, B.

Bootielicious

pic from Zappos.com

Booties are the new boot this season...especially with the whole leggings craze, they are a great chunky accent to balance out the slim leg line. I just placed my order on my fave site Endless, because of course they are free shipping and free returns when us girls frequently change our minds. And...Endless had them on sale for $118 from $170 which basically sealed the deal. I also used Ebates to get my 6% cash back on the total purchase, I am totally proud of my discount shopping skills right now...lol. I couldn't decide between the grey and the black color, which I've been dating for the past month, just ask G or Ris...they had to talk it out with me. Anyways, after visiting the black ones at Bloomingdales a couple times, and watching the stock diminish at shopbop on the grey color...I decided to go with the greys. Can't wait to wear them with skirts during the summer, and leggings in the Fall! Love love love, xo, B.

Dating the black pair at Bloomingdales...of course I had to make my BF Ris try on the other side to get the idea of how they looked with a skirt. Totally heart them!

Hester Street Fair

On this wretchedly hot Summer day, I decided to take a visit to the Hester Street Fair to stop by the Stylist Tent. I wasn't too impressed with the selection of merchandise, and I think it was too hot to even concentrate on shopping. But, I of course had time to grub on some Sigmund Pretzels...and they were amazing! At least I was able to buy something from the street fair...I'm definitely going to hit up Sigmund's to try their pretzel sandwiches. This Hester Street Fair had a good amount of jewelry vendors like Erica Weiner who is one of my faves...but nothing I wanted to throw down my hot cash for. Fun times...xo, B

Gruyere and paprika pretzel with mustard and beet horseradish mayo dipping sauces.

Ummm...random crocheted bike.

Yummy Hoodie from VS

K don't be jealous, I just got the yummiest broken in hoodie from Victoria's Secret Pink store in Soho. Yeah, it's a bit cheeseball in there...and I did feel like I took a step back to 8th grade again...but I love love love their sweats! And of course I'm a sucker for skulls and hoodies...again that's a bit of my OC. They also had super cute bedazzled Yankee and Mets gear...if I were a fan, I would have jumped all over the shiz. Now it just has to cool down for me to be able to sport my new addition...xo, B

So it says "Live Pink" on the upper back part of the hoodie...but thankfully the hood will cover that corny part. lol

Yummy soft inside!

J.Crew Bestie Bracelet

Got a new bestie bracelet yesterday from J.Crew, right before the store was closing at South Street Seaport. I had been eyeing this bracelet for a while on the website, but never thought I would order it. After begging the sales person to shop for a hot minute, we headed straight to the jewelry sale bin and found this rad bracelet for only $40 (retails for $60)! It's soo perf, dressed up or down, and stacked with a bunch of bracelets or alone. This is a pic of Mel's wrist, with the perfect masculine watch to offset this glam bracelet. Loves it, can't wait to wear mine...xo, B

Over the Rainbow

Got an exciting text from my dear friend Ana, who went back home to California for a visit. She was at the Rainbow Sandals Outlet Store, and asked if I wanted a new pair! So, first of all...Rainbow sandals are like a staple in California beachwear, and the classics are made out of yummy leather with an arch support! Now what flip flops have arch supports...these do need a bit of breaking in in the beginning, but once you get the supple leather to turn all soft shiny and dark, you know you have a keeper. I decided to try the updated skinny strap version pictured below...can't wait to get these babies! Thanks Ana! xo, B

Gilt-y...again!

I did it again...bought these bad boys for summer on Gilt. They weren't badly priced at $70 for these Faryl Robin snake skin sandals, loving python these days. Never tried this brand before...but we'll see how they fit! xo, B
Almost considering bringing my Chloe phython Silverado out of hiding...and btw, can't believe I just put LL on my blog...umm, she was actually sorta normal and cool back then (circa 2005).

F21 Ring Action

Dabbling in cheapie Forever 21 jewelry is one of my loves...I check the F21 sites every other day at least for the latest arrivals. This wannabe turqoise ring was only $5, and looks great with a good weight to it. It can be hit or miss with F21, but I've learned to shop with an observant eye...and I think I merchandise it well enough to fool the experienced shopper. lol Jewelry goes quick, so if you love it, it's best to swoop in and make your purchase. Gotta love my cheapie indulgence...xo, B

Congratulation to Me!

After a long days work last night, and almost passing out from heat exhaustion (actually there was no doubt about that one), I decided to treat myself today with a pair of these cool 80%20 wedges from Gilt. They're so cute, and perfect height and color for the Summer...and they also remind of the Chloes, pictured below, that I can't afford. lol I'd actually never heard of these shoes before, we'll see when they get here...can't wait. xo, B
